Charge for warranty repair?

I have a used 2016 MS purchased directly from Tesla that is still under warranty. One of the door handles stopped presenting which I hear is not uncommon. The mobile tech said it was covered under warranty but I see pending charge on my credit card for about $300. Does that sound normal? I thought "under warranty" means I don't have to pay anything? I have had the use car for almost a year and this is my first time dealing with Tesla service.

I messaged Tesla and they said the warranty was not applied to the repair even though it was covered and will issue a credit to my card.
