Does any one have any idea roughly how much is it to replace the charge port door? This is for a model x 2028. Mine broke off lower hinge while trying to plugin at a supercharger, then it flew off on the highway and now I have no door, the motor works fine.

dear time traveler, you are in the wrong time period. please adjust your time circuits forward 9 years, lol

sounds like a defective charge port door to me. unless there's visible evidence of damage caused by force, they should replace under warranty.

I know sorry i posted it and i could not figure out how to correct it.
The charge door is actual damage, it was broken off by putting too much force and the bottom hinge broke off. The problem is that it was left dangling and the entire door flew off while driving, now i have no door.
Tesla is coming out to do the repair Monday but i want to brace for what they are going to charge me.

The part cost according to the estimate I received from a body shop was $125.00, assuming it was just that one part that was bad:

Door,Charging Port LT 103854800F $125.00

I think there's another part number, 1038548-88-G that is the door + the mechanical and assembly parts and I would assume that is a good bit more. There's one on E-bay right now for $155, completely rough guess maybe $350? Plus an hour of labor, my guess is if they charge you the total comes in at just a hair under $500 if they replace the whole assembly, $250 if it's just the door. Let me know if I'm close!

As it turns out, they could not replace just the door, the whole assembly had to be replaced along with the motor, the whole thing came to $329. Now I have an extra motor if the new one should quit on me.
