ChargePoint RED light

Hello I have this ChargePoint for few years and recently noticed it random pop up different error lights. Today my Tesla app told me the car is not charging and when I ran to the garage I noticed my charger had red light. I unplug the connector and used ChargePoint app to restart the charger. After few minutes it went back to normal.

My question is does the car have any affect been it’s connected to the charger with red light?

I also have a chargepoint. I guess the chargepoint app didn't say the reason for the failure? The manual isn't very helpful it says to reset the chargepoint and if it continues to happen call 1-888-758-4389.

I'm not sure what you mean about the car being connected. But typically if you have an issue with the wiring the car will report a voltage drop and stop charging. Not sure how the chargepoint reacts to that situation.

I doubt it would do any damage. The car and charger have safeties and communicate with each other.
