No indication on Tesla's map that this is a planned Supercharger location and Herndon is also HQ for VW North America/Electrify America.

I reread your post and would think it is like the South Riding Sheetz. They removed five spots and installed four EVGO? chargers This could be Electrify America sites. I don't think Tesla would do anything less that 8 spots in this area, to many Tesla's in the region.

Food for thought, this location considered. EVGO is adding Tesla cords to there fast chargers. DC Metro is on the list. Evannex just put this out.

So of these charging sites in Chantilly, South Riding and Fairfax I have never seen a car charging there.

The staff recommendation of approval which is linked to in that reporting, has the site plans attached. They show the relevant parking spaces marked as "Possible Future Universal Charging Stations (5)". Given the explicit description of "Universal Charging", I think it's safe to assume that they won't be superchargers or even Tesla L2 stations. Expect CCS/CHAdeMO or J1772 or some combination of both universal DCFC and L2.

I just read the Canton SC thread and will have to say 5 is possible for Tesla, which I never heard of before. But this site is still close to the Sterling site so time will tell.

By the way, does EVgo maintain a list, or is it possible to ascertain, which sites have Tesla cords? Will this fact be visible in plugshare as a Tesla Supercharger connector (even though it is not technically such?)

I used their app and filtered to stations that have Tesla connections:

Thank you! Looks like these show up on Plugshare as "Tesla" (but not Supercharger) connectors, meaning they will look green instead of orange in the map, unless you also enable CHAdeMO in the filter.

There was another article recently that said the county has approved the project even though the building won't be LEED certified. What's crazy to me is that they are somehow planning to have 49 parking spaces but only 5 will be charging spaces.

I just saw the blue prints and nothing changed. They only say " 5 Universal" charging spots and a sixth spot to house the gear. same as Mociaf9 posted above. It was I believe the county approved set.
