Charger is blinking red 8 times

Hi just returned home and plugged the car into charge with my home Tesla charger. 40 amp.
It is outside mounted and has been in place for 2 years without issue.
The charger has a green light on. When i plug the car in it goes red and blinks 8 times.
When i unplug the cord the charger will return to green. I have a 2015 Model S. 90D
We did experience heavy rain since I last charged.
I am able to charge the car through a regular 12 Amp outdoor plug i have and it is charging.
Any insight as to why the Main charger isnt working? I have reset the breaker inside the home and hit the reset button on the side of the wall mounted tesla charger.
I am on Ontario canada.

In the owners manual for your charger it will give you the blinking light codes. Each code corisponds to the number of times the red light blinks. I am not sure what eight is so you will need to check the Manual
