Charger Locks (Engages) Too Quickly

Hi,

Back in October 2019 I had the plastic deadfronts replace as part of a service bulletin. Immediately after that, it took a lot more force for me to connect my HPWC at home. After a few months, it wore in. It's still a tighter fit than it used to be, but not bad.

What I've noticed since then is that the car tries the lock the charging port as I'm plugging in the car. I have to be VERY quick to get it plugged in, otherwise I can feel the locking pin hitting the charger connector (and not in the recess where it fits), and the charge status light blinks amber. I'm concerned about damaging the locking mechanism over time. Since even when I'm on my game, I can feel it hit.

For other Model 3 owners, when do you hear the locking pin engage after plugging in? Seems like it should lock a second second or two after it is inserted.

Thanks,
MF
