I'm not a big fan of driving through the rough parts of town in my Daddy-warbucksmobile. Having said that, I'm noticing that the presence of chargers, particularly the privately-owned-and-shared charger, is a good proxy for good neighborhoods -- and that their absence indicates a place that is dicey at night. Obviously, this is useless once you get out into the country. Nevertheless, I've wandered into one of these 'Charger deserts' in my hometown -- and found my wife giving me that "You are NOT charging here!" look/shout. If you are wondering about this, try Plugshare, and turn off all the filters so you see all chargers.
