They are designed to be able to be locked. There are some others that dont have the locking disconnect button. If you are getting unplugged then this should solve the issue.

When I hear "public parking garage at SFO" I'm thinking there couldn't many square inches not covered by security cameras... If ChargePoint was concerned enough, maybe they could check the tapes and see what's going on?

Here is a good solution. Park at SkyPark and use indoor parking. Only the parking attendants can get near the car.

Yes, quite a few and they move them around once you're fully charged so there's always a space. Valet only though. $19 a day with coupon or AAA.

I have a Master Lock that resembles the 120KAD. I tried it on a ChargePoint charger this afternoon and was able to disconnect the thing. Bought a Master Lock 1825D and found it to fit perfectly through the hole. http://www.masterlocks.com/product/no-1825d-solid-brass-padlock,944,111.htm

This is precisely the reason I'm keeping my 1985 190D running on waste veggie oil with 310K miles on it -- never have to worry about parking it at the airport.

Was at SFO yesterday and saw a Prius plugin parked in the EV spot but not plugged in. Also, a C class Mercedes parked in another spot. Someone put a note on their windshield. Anyone here?

Until they perfect the teleporter, I only fly airlines that include biofuel or waste cooking oil mixed in with jet fuel. :wink: I have 80K of the 310K on my old beater running on WVO over the past 7 years, and not having to go to a gas station or make a car payment during this time has helped me save up a good chunk of the cost of the MS.

Have thought about that. A lot easier to pull off on the side of the road when my fuel filter clogged (despite the filtering of the WVO I do on my own and the filters in the car), but a number of airlines have been testing biofuels in jet fuel for a while now and results seem to be fine.
