Had a great journey to Normandy today in our M3 LR - stopped at the Folkestone Eurotunnel supercharger and had another quick charge at the aire de la Baie de Somme an hour or so sound of Calais. Loads of superchargers were available but non Tesla EV owners were queuing for the Ionity chargers. One was out of service and there was a queue of 5/6 cars waiting to use the chargers - some poor Brit couldn’t get his Audi Q4 charging with the others in line giving him grief to give up the space for the next car.
A reminder why I in part leased the Tesla - i wouldn’t take any other EV on a long trip. Hotel has a destination charger too - amazing!! Got me thinking - should I take the M3 to Portugal (ferry to Santander) this summer instead of the X5.
