I had no idea that many hotels in Las Vegas had free EV charging.
Excellent. What model 3 do you have? Long Range? (How many miles)
But you can get a Blizzard at DQ at the Baker Supercharger. Tough choice...Eddie's World or DQ.
Destination chargers are meant to be plugged in overnight. Am I going to wake up in the middle of the night just because my car is fully charged and move it? No.
As a So Cal resident, I charge at Baker to Vegas. Leaving Vegas charge at Yermo.
But then why do So Cal to Las Vegas drivers need to supercharge? My trip says exactly 307.5 miles from my exact address to Harrahs Las Vegas. And I did charge to 100%, or at least very close.
Model 3 Dual Motor
315 mile range, so I think its long range.

Anxiety is a big one for me, plus i dont mind stopping for 10-15 minutes haha also the 310 mile range assumes you aren't going that fast and most people go 75-80 on the way to Vegas which uses slightly more energy.
Also on the destination charger front, they ARE convenient. I was able to get one at MGM Grand that was literally one of, if not THE, closest spots to the entrance - though they only had 3x EV chargers which isn't amazing. Left with 90% charge and never had to stop at an SC.
Best of both worlds.
The one time I stopped Eddie's world chargers were down, thank goodness I was able to make it to Baker, or it was back to Barstow we go. Lesson to check the screen on the way. The screen didn't say anything when I first selected Yermo leaving home.
I had a problem at Yermo. A Model X driver told me the charger I was about to use didn't work, or charged extremely slow, and said he wasted 20+ minutes for nothing. Thankfully I checked, the car said it was charging at some very low miles per hour rate. So I switched over to another one and checked the charge rate and it was at is normal supercharge rate of like 30-40 min to full charge, and something like 300-500 miles per hour charge.
I had a similar problem at Yermo, were you parked next to the fenced area with the charging hardware in it? That one wasn't giving me much and i had to move my car.

have they still not fixed that one? it was broken in january when we went to vegas...that's kinda disturbing actually if they still haven't fixed it six months later on such a highly traveled route.
