Charging Heats the inside of the Car?

This is typical, normal and a complete non-issue.

The battery pack will have some residual heat from the previous day's drive. The car's body will also have some residual heat from the previous day's drive; some of that heat will radiate back into the cabin. Charging runs the computer, which adds another 250 watts of heat to the car anytime it's charging, which is probably all night long if you're charging on 120 volts. Charging also adds some additional heat to the battery, although this is negligible at 120 volts. If charging in the winter, the car will heat the battery up to 70F while charging.

I will henceforth refer people to this thread when somebody asks why engine temperature gauges don't have numbers on them, lol. If you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to want that cookie to remain at his preferred nominal state in all conditions regardless of whether he gets a glass of milk

Everything becomes heat at some point. A little noise, a little light maybe, but, in the end, it's all heat. In the end, entropy wins, valar morghulis
