I have to be in Niagara Falls the weekend of Apr 8-10 and the round trip from Scarborough is around 320km without accounting for any additional driving. That is borderline for my P90D.

I am staying at the Americana Resort and they said that they should have some electrical outlets available at parking spots - likely 120V. That may be ok if the weather isn't too cold but I am looking for backup options just in case.

Looking on Plugshare there aren't many options in Niagara Falls other than hotels and presumably you have to stay at the hotel to use their charging. There is a 30A/200V outlet listed at a place called Graybar Canada, which seems to be an electrical wholesaler, but no one has checked in for over 9 months and one of three reviews said there was no power when they tried the place.

Anyone know of any other places as a backup, perhaps someplace not listed on Plugshare?

Try the Sun Country Highway charger map. There's quite a few hotels and such with chargers.

If you extend the search to the surrounding communities there's also a Canadian Tire up the road a bit, and Brock University.

There were lots of Sun Country sites at hotels but I don't know how useful those are unless you happen to be staying at one of those hotels and my hotel was pre-chosen as it is the site where my daughter's dance competition is taking place.

Here's what I have off my Windows Phone App:

Hope this helps,

If worst comes to worst you could use the Supercharger in Buffalo and top up quickly.

Shops at Main / Transit

Btw I also live in Scarborough (northwest) so it'd be nice to see where you end up so i can also plan accordingly.

I do have one so that would make things easier, but no one else in the family does so I would have to make the run by myself. Do you need your passport as well when you take the Nexus Whirlpool bridge?
No they're not supposed to ask for the Passport as the Nexus land boarder. But bring one just in case I say.

Once you are ready to start your return trip, put the Lawrence Supercharger as destination in your navigation. If it predicts 10% or more battery left then you are good to go. This was my experience in January. Otherwise, get a few km charge at the Brew Pub or in Grimsby.

I do this trip 3 -4 times a year. Doable in warmer months but not practical in winter. Try the Casino Fallsview charger, most of the time in the evening it is open. One the way home if you need a buffer use the Grimsby chargers by the LCBO...good location and many restaurants around.

If you're going to use the Fallsview Casino charger, note that you must enter the parking garage from the front entrance. If you go into the side entrance you will be on a separate part of the parking garage where you cannot get to the charging spot. Learned that the hard way :)
