2nd day using this feature and found that if you are in cold weather, the car would precondition the cabin to 68 degrees. doesn't matter what you set it the night before. I had mine at 71 the night before. The car at 7:30 am departure schedule, the HVAC would show 68. And it only runs as needed to keep that temp. Notice the power cable to car would stop triggering current when the cabin is at that temp.
