Charging MY AWD

Took delivery of the first of two MY AWD last Sunday 3/12. I just charged to 90% and it shows 251 miles which would imply 279 miles at 100%. Exactly as advertised.

Yeah, that’s an issue with names.

The OP’s “MY AWD” is also known as “MY SR AWD,” which is different from your “AWD,” which is “MY LR AWD.” LRs don’t usually include “AWD” when named, because it never had a “RWD,” but the SR initially came out as “RWD.”

Just advice.
Change the gauge from "miles" to "%" and don't bother with that number. Because "miles" gauge shows the value based on the "rated" tesla energy consumption instead of your real energy consumption. Because of that, this value is completely misleading, because you ll not be able to actually make 250 miles on a single charge. Also using % gives you a better understanding of your charge level, especially when using navigation which predicts the estimated state of charge in % on the arrival.

The real projected range you can check in the Energy App which is calculated based on your actual energy consumption.

I'm just using Tesla naming convention.

There are 3 MY for 2023:

1. MY AWD with 279 miles
2. MY LR with 330 miles
3. MY Performance with 303 miles

The MY AWD is still not available to order from the regular Tesla site. It shows up in the inventory website from time to time and it is the only way to order it at the moment.
