Charging near to Manchester airport

Guys,
We are traveling to Manchester airport and car will be parked for like a week.

I wonder what is the best place to charge before dropping car at the car park?

We will be traveling via Stoke on tren (A50 and then M6) so anything within like 15 miles would be great.

Any recommendations?

The Park Royal supercharger generally serves me for that.
It’s only a dual charger, though, so really likely you’ll need to wait.

Yeah it's SuCs at Trafford Centre or Tesla Stockport. I think there is a BP Pulse one nearer the airport, but I've never tried and and probably wouldn't risk it.

Oh yeah it's just off the M60 (the ring road around Manchester, like a mini M25), and likely on your route to the airport.

If you are coming to Manchester airport via A50 and M6 then going to the Trafford centre is going out of you way and depending on the time of day getting yourself into unnecessary traffic. If you want to stick to Tesla superchargers then you would be better charging at Trentham, just off the A50 at Stoke before you get to the M6 albeit you will be about 40 miles from the airport Alternatively if you want to charge up closer to the airport then use the Gridserve chargers at Knutsford services which are just before you turn off the M6 onto the A556 toward the airport

I know a few people who travel to Manchester from Stoke regularly. They usually avoid the M6 altogether which can be horrendous at certain times and get on the A500 and around Talke take the A34 through Congleton which also takes you pretty close to the Airport. Using that route you can stay on the A34 past the airport until you reach the M60 not too far from Tesla Stockport. It may take longer, but my friends travelling to evening football matches in Manchester swear by this route.

Its certainly a route to consider if you are travelling at busy times.

At Stockport, the first chargers you see on the right as you drive in are V2, so if possible drive past them and you’ll see a handful of faster V3.
