Charging Options near Markleeville, CA

I'm planning to drive from the Bay Area up to Markleeville CA this Friday (to ride my 12th Death Ride Tour of the California Alps - Death Ride ®). My calculations show I should be able to make it from the Folsom Supercharger to Markleeville on Friday and then to my cabin in Truckee after the ride on Saturday. However, just in case I consume more than the planned kWh or the vampire losses overnight are larger than expected, it would be nice to know of any charging options in Markleeville or South Lake Tahoe.

Has anyone found a good place to charge in this area?

vlsidude, were you the white model S near Turtle Rock? I was the red one between Woodfords and Turtle Rock. I didn't see you charging at Harrah's so I assume you found another charge location? Plugshare incorrectly identifies Caesars as the charge location when they meant Harrah's. Are you on Strava?

Yes, I was the white Model S about 200 yards south of Turtle Rock along highway 89. I made it back to my cabin in Truckee with no problems so didn't need to stop in South Lake to charge. I did lose 11 miles rated range (132 to 121) during the 7 hours I was sleeping in the car Friday night. Fortunately I only lost 3 more miles during the 12 hours I was riding on Saturday (to 118).

Your elevation gain at 20,000 seams a bit high since your distance is the 124 miles. I charged at Folsom on the way up but made it back to the Bay Area on a single full charge from Harrah's. Yes, the real elevation gain should be about 15,000 feet. Sometimes the Garmin elevation gain is way off.
