Charging Questions

I have the MC240 charger. I use it to charge at either 24 or 30 amps. Will it charge at 12 and 16 amps on 240V or does that only work with 120? Question Two: Is the charging rate the same in standard and range modes? Question three: To get charging miles per hour of charge, I figure 80% of the amps I'm charging at which gives me a pretty accurate number (for 24 and 30 amps), for example; 30 amps X .80 = 24 miles, 24 amps X .80 = 19.2 miles, 16 amps X .80 = 12.8 miles and 12 amps X .80 = 9.6 miles. Assuming I can charge at 12 and 16 amps/240 volts, do the numbers look accurate?

The charging rate should be the same in standard mode and range mode. Range mode just keeps charging to a higher SOC.

You can manually set the charging current to a lower number of Amps in the car. The MC240 will limit the max current allowed.

Hope that helps. Enjoy your Roadster!
