charging speed reduced - check adapter (Red "T")

I was about to ask for help with the mobile connector, as we were getting a " charging speed reduced check adapter" message, and the "T" in the blinking green TESLA displayed upon it had turned red. Turns out the adapter was ever-so-slightly pulled out of the mobile connector. Making sure it is firmly inserted has solved the problem.

Only had the thing for 2 weeks, so still learning.

If your Mobile Connector is just hanging from the adapter this will continue to happen. You need to support the weight of the Mobile Connector and the cable. There are some supports you can get on eBay.
