Charging Stations at Hotels

    Saw this at the Kowloon Shangri-La just now. Impressed by their forward thinking. Too bad they just did 13A BS 1363 style sockets. However it's a beginning.

    Even when it is only 13A, if you are there for the whole evening, or even overnight, it will probably be enough to get back home, or move on. With just one overnight, you should have enough to go anywhere in HK and back, the following day (thinking of a tourist renting a car in HK, which ... isn't that common anyway. HK drivers license required?)

    This will be like WiFi was, people will shop for hotels/restaurants/malls/supermarkets where charging is offered, and early birds will be rewarded for a while - until the rest eventually catch up.
