Charging w/50 Amp Nema Outlet

I’ve noticed I’m only pulling 32amps on my home charger even though I installed a 5O amp circuit. Anyone know why? Thx!

Because your UMC (charging cable that comes with the car) maxes out at 32 amps.

Max for continuous load is limited to 80% of circuit rating, plus I believe the “home charger” max rate is 32 amps due to the size of the conductors in that cord...

The Gen 1 UMC can charge LR cars at 40 amps if you need a little more. They pop up for sale occasionally on the forum here.

And to add more color, if you have an SR, SR+ or an MR your onboard charger is limited to 32a so no matter what you do, it will never go faster than that (unless you are at a supercharger).
