I got a VIN (68xx, no delivery date range specified yet) and am thinking about a checklist for things to inspect on delivery. I'm trying to remember all the issues I've seen other people complain about, here or on youtube.

A lot of these I'm undecided at what quality threshold I should ask that they fix vs accepting when they say it's within tolerances. But here's my checklist so far, suggestions welcome.

---------------- all moving parts open/close:
* all door handles work without sticking
* all door windows move automatically when opening
* all windows roll up/down
* front trunk opens and closes
* rear trunk opens and closes
* rear seats fall down when the button is pressed
* glove box opens/closes
* coat hangers open/close
* charge door open/close
* both seats move
* steering wheel adjusts in/out/up/down
---------------- controls:
* test heat and ac
* confirm rear vents blow too
* test windshield defrost
* test seat heaters
* test audio, move the audio balance all around
---------------- check for interior scuffs / stains:
* seat backs
* dash
* steering wheel
* stains on headliner
* screen
---------------- interior quality:
* examine seat stitching
* are console panels aligned
* is the glove box gap even
* does rear seat panel get dislocated when the seats fold
---------------- exterior quality:
* color match lower panel all 4 corners vs car body
* check the edges of all the panels for missing paint
* look for cracked glass
* check the rims for scratches
* check for missing paint between the door and the body
* check gap between plastic fender and wheel well
* look for large/uneven panel gaps
* is there noise when pressing the body near the headlight

I am patiently awaiting a call for my delivery date. In the mean time, I complied a similar list to yours, but of known issues others have experienced. I have sourced these from YouTube videos, posts here, other sources. I may incorporate your list and my list together some how. I have bolded the ones I think you are missing that I have heard of.

Coat hanger not closing
Flooded taillight with water/Condensation inside tail light
Rear seat rear panel coming loose
Rear seat panels coming off
Rear seats don't go down when you use the buttons
Rattle from rear center seat
B pillar damaged
Steering wheel alignment off
Fender gap/alignment
Window seal leaky
Missing the spoiler and performance badge
Charge port door not closing correctly
Charge port door stuck closed
Passenger airbag pillar not sealed all the way
Rear hatch doesn't close/latch properly
Driver side window closed by itself before entry - trim damage
Liftgate opening height memory erased. Trunk hit the garage door
Stains on headliner
Scratched rims from factory
Dirt in paint
AC and heat don’t work at all

Thanks, I think I saw your list in another thread and it was one of the things I used in making mine.

I didn't see the liftgate memory bug. Did the feature never work for that person or did it work for a while then suddenly it forgot the setting? That would be pretty disturbing bug because it about guarantees damage to the car when it hits something
