Passed again today & they are digging along the side of the building, maybe cabling for regular chargers. People also working inside the workshop area.
Drove past the site this afternoon - there were six vans, three cars and a lot of people working both inside and out.
Drove past this morning, interior is coming along, new offices etc, also appears too be quite a few poles in place which I imagine will be to mount destination chargers, very little work going on outside.
Had a ranger visit this morning to Wrexham said the Chester SC is due to open by end of March. Covid etc may delay slightly.
A large free standing Tesla logo was being installed at the front of the site today with a gaggle of inquisitive Teenagers watching from the pavement. A lot of activity was evident both inside and out & the black charging post cabling was being worked on.
Not long now. Signs illuminated. Pictures on the wall. Destination chargers look ready. Just needs a bit of finishing off & some furniture.
Signs are up, 8 destination charges all powered up, show room looks complete, pictures on the wall, the car compounds have new security fences installed. Will book mine in when they open to get my bonnet aligned correctly as fed up with people commenting the gap
These are for charging new cars awaiting collection or cars being serviced. Occasionally someone may ask to use as a destination charger if they are visiting Chester during a road trip and urgently need a charge. Some SCs might allow that if there is no other requirement but I believe these are not intended for local use.
I asked to plug my car in at the Destination Charger at the Park Royal service centre when I went to London for the day last year and they seemed quite happy to let me do it
