Speaking of being surprised, this part of the article made me laugh, quote: "What we hadn't expected was the enormous freedom of that 238-mile rating: drivers can ignore that battery gauge for hours at a time, even if they're behind the wheel much of the day."

160,000 Tesla owners have been experiencing and enjoying that "freedom" for years now, and John Voelcker of Green Car Reports "hadn't expected" what driving an EV with a range of well over 200 miles would feel like? Really John, that was a surprise to you?

Has the Bolt gone on sale at Chevy dealerships in the US yet?

I hope GM would market the car properly. To be fair, Mr. Voelcker mentioned earlier in the article for the Chevrolet to achieve Tesla-type of range with half the cost is remarkable only 5 years after the first Model S rolled off the line.

Has the Bolt gone on sale at Chevy dealerships in the US yet?

It can be ordered at many dealers in California and Oregon. Actual sales won't technically happen until the first cars arrive at dealerships in December.

No official and precise rollout dates in other areas have been announced. I'm guessing that ordering is likely to open up in additional states in the first quarter of next year and ordering and deliveries will probably be nationwide by the 2nd quarter.

Canada and Europe will likely begin taking orders and deliveries by the 2nd quarter. South Korea was just announced as a destination and will probably see cars by mid-2017.
