Guys,
Got the email yesterday that my 2 in-store reservations done on the launch day around 10:08am CST is ready to order.

I am in Chicago suburbs and really excited to place the order, with the delivery in 3-6 weeks.

I was going with the following configuration:
Black
Aero Wheels
Premium Upgrades
Long Range Battery
Enhanced AutoPilot
Will buy the full auto drive capability later on when it becomes available.

Comes out to 54k without federal credit.

I am very excited and looking forward. Did anyone else in Chicago or anywhere in Mid-west or East-Cost got the mail as well?

Just got my invite to configure yesterday, live in St. Louis, MO. Reserved the morning of 3/31/2016

Congrats! It's good to see Chicago non-owners are getting their invites. Since I reserved a non-owner 3 last week, I expect to join you in about 12 months...

As an aside, I was at the Westmont showroom yesterday test driving an S (I've never been in a Tesla before. Review: awesome). I saw a really nice blue 3 being prepped for its new owner, and the associate said that they've gone through quite a few, so don't be surprised to see more of them on the road. With you, that will be +1.

That means you ordered a little after I did (allowing for the time zone difference between Chicago and Natick MA).

They have to be taking delivery logistics into consideration (how many trucks they can get to the delivery centers).

Depends on the color and wheels and if they have any cars premade that aren't spoken form. Some people are getting their car within 2 weeks, otherwise 6-8 weeks. Once VIN assigned, most are getting the vehicle within 1 week. It's a bitchin car btw.

Very excited, ordered on 03/13, Black/Aero/AP......waiting for VIN assignment but ISA is assigned.

Quick questions,
1. I have Schneider EV Link 220v 6kw Electric car charger at home, do I need an adaptor to use with M3? Please advise.
2. Does the M3 come with All weather tires, and is there an option to get Winter tires specifically?

Finally, it happened. Got the VIN assigned overnight.

Anyone in the Chicago or NW Burbs area took the delivery recently, and can you share your experience? How many weeks after VIN was the delivery date?

Black/Aero/EAP
VIN in 138XX range
Chicago
Ordered on 03/13, got VIN exactly after 4 weeks.

Hi fellow Chicagoan!

I ordered in line at the Grand Ave store at about 11:30am. I got my invite last Friday (4/6/18) and then yesterday (4/10/18) when I logged back into the my tesla page I noticed I had been assigned a VIN! So I am wondering if they have a batch of cars on their way to Chicago and hopefully yours and mine are in that batch! My VIN was 143XX so not much higher than yours.

When I called yesterday to ask a question after seeing my VIN they said I had an delivery specialist already assigned and she would be reaching out sometime this week. From what I have been reading it seems like an average of about 2 weeks lately until delivery after getting a VIN. So sounds like we don't have long to wait now!

Thanks for responding, great to some fellow Chicagoan on this forum.

Consider yourself lucky that you got the VIN so quick, I had to wait 4 full weeks to get the VIN assigned. I called yesterday and have ISA assigned but no call from her yet, and I have already left multiple voice messages.

I will be selecting Highland Park as my SC. Which SC you are planning to select? Keep in touch as you know more about the delivery and stuff.
