Looking to put in my order by this Friday for a Model S, but have some final questions that I'm hoping a Chicago-based owner can help answer. Anyone in the city or surrounding suburbs available to chat in the next day or so about your experience with Model S in the cold, with ComEd costs, adding 240V service to your garage in the City, etc.?

If you're willing to chat, send me an e-mail at [email protected] and let me know when you're free. Will also use your referral code if you'd like.

Sorry I missed your note. Hopefully you've gone ahead and placed your order.

I'm in the south suburbs, but can provide info on ComEd, adding 240V service, etc

Thanks for the post. My order went in back on July 14 so I'm just waiting now.

NEMA 14-50 install was about 850 all-in from Kapital Electric in Bensenville. I can't provide any details on winter driving, I just got my MS in June '16.. However since I do drive in traffic, it's almost a pleasure. One-pedal driving in those situations. I have heard of some people having issues with the ipass transponder not registering correctly due to the windscreen design.
