Chill mode in a P85 with V9

We have a 2014 Model S P85 (RWD), which never received the "Chill" mode option back when it was released in 2017.

Recently, with the initial V9 update (39.6), the CHILL/SPORT toggle appeared under driving settings, and we promptly set our teens' driver profiles to Chill (yay!). But then a couple of days later we installed the update 39.7, and the toggle disappeared.

Now the "Chill" badge still shows up on the speedo when our kids' profiles are selected, but there's no way to turn it off. Not that we're unhappy about the latter :), but it looks like a bug. Some local members confirmed seeing the toggle in 39.6, but it also went away later on in their cars.

Does anyone know if Tesla is planning to fix this, or introduce a way to disable this mode for driver profiles that got locked into it. I'm sure we're not alone there. Deleting and re-creating a driver profile will likely fix that, but that's not a graceful workaround.
