Chill Mode is like Range Mode when conserving energy! Or is it?

So a good feature about Chill mode is that when running low on energy, it will help you to arrive at your destination easier by not allowing you to use extra energy by restricting the energy consumption when pressing the accelerator pedal.
Coupled with Range mode, I would imagine it could make a difference, albeit probably small, but any little bit helps I should think.

In theory, you should be able to accomplish the same thing by taking it easy on the "go" pedal. I suppose Chill Mode will compensate for those with less self-control

I would think it would make a reasonable difference particularly in city traffic by smoothing out those 250kW acceleration boosts.

Well, no "Chill Mode" for me. Service pushed the latest update to my car and I got the "Easy Entry" profile but no "Chill".

I have a RWD S85. Wonder what the criteria is to be able to get it? (Maybe my car is already chill enough).

You have to Chill out just a bit longer. Lol!

I tried "chill" mode for a whole day on my trip to Florida. No perceptible range gain for me.

The benefit could really be safer handling on slippery roads. Usually I drive my 70D somewhat conservatively so I have not seen any efficiency improvement while using Chill mode.

On our old cars it's called Valet mode. LOL It reduces power and top speed.

In my admittedly limited experience with AP1 and AP2 on loaner cars, I'm not so sure. It seems to accelerate and decelerate much more aggressively than I would on the pedal myself, especially in heavy or stop-and-go traffic.

Chill mode + AP is the only way I’ll do it. Smooths out the rediculous auto pilot accelerations.

Ever since I got chill mode, my consumption increased, especially in city traffic. I'm not sure if the smoother deceleration means less regen for the battery?

Less deceleration due to regen actually increases range. Coasting is 100% efficient, regen is like 60%.

Sure, as long as you don't touch those brakes, which we'd all do a lot more with no regeneration.. Regen is there for efficiency, to recapture range when decelerating is necessary. Can't always coast.
