Christmas tree on S with panoramic sunroof?

So there are a few prior threads on this, but mostly with responses from folks with the solid roofs. My 2013 has the Panoramic sunroof, and I was thinking about putting a moving blanket up top and transporting a ~7ft tree there. It’ll travel a few low-speed miles.

We used to have another car we used for this, but it’s been recently replaced by a Model Y , so I’m trying to figure out what to do. Any suggestions?

Shouldn't be a problem. Not much weight involved, just loop a rope around and through the windows with towels to protect the trim

With a moving blanket you should be fine. Just make sure you tie it down intelligently as to not damage trim, paint, etc.

That’s exactly what we did few years ago. No towels though

Did it on our X and our 3. We don't own a S though. Did not use any blanket... just on top of glass.

We picked up a 7 foot tree in ours which went inside the car pretty easily with the rear seats folded down and the shelf removed.

Thanks for all the advice. We picked a tree up today. I put a moving blanket down on the roof, and then used some 4" wide blue tape I had to cover up the chrome trim and paint where the twine would rub. Worked perfectly, no damage at all. Thanks, everyone!
