Church Street Church Street

Whenever navigation has directed me to a street called “Church Street”, the voice direction will read the direction as “Church Street Church Street”, such as “Turn right on Church Street Church Street”. This is not a local problem, as this exact same behavior has occurred in three different cities.

Has anyone else encountered this bug?

There are serval streets navigation mispronounces. Try Capshaw in Harvest.

Mispronunciations are quite common among all GPS systems, because human beings are not even consistent in how they pronounce words locally. But the issue I am raising is not a mispronunciation, but something deeper and more nefarious :)

I doubt AI is trying to guess how to pronounce. For common words am pretty sure they have a lookup table for pronunciation.

“Capshaw” gets mispronounced with an “R”. “Pulaski” sounds like an AI is guessing.

I haven't encountered the repeating Church Street issue, but I may check it out as a destination soon as I have one near me, but I Do find that it misreads "Pass" as "PATH" on a regular basis. There are a few streets in my area that are XXXXX Pass, and NAV pronounces them all as "XXXXX Path"

Maybe it's just Tesla quirkiness at work??
