i have a tesla circuit board with the clear conformal coating that i am troubleshooting--does anyone know what type of coating they use and/or know of the solvent to remove the coating?

    What doesn't work:
    Isopropyl Alcohol
    Ethyl Alcohol
    Acetone
    Heptane

Yes, heat for sure. Be aware you might be cooking some caps, so localized heat on the spots of interest might be best. You also might want to build up some little shields of metal tape to route the hot air over caps.
