Cleaning the felt window seal

How do you guys clean the felt window seal?
It’s Canada and it snows with salty on the road. I badge in to my work everyday which requires opening the window. The felt is just streaking and smearing the dirt/salt mixture into my window, even after the snow ended and the road is clear. Think the felt got really dirty.

I'm a freak when it comes to cleaning my car, boar hair brushes for the emblems seems logical to me but I cannot imagine a way to clean the felt window seal aside from just dumping a large amount of water on the glass and letting gravity do its thing.
