Cleaning windshield without damaging electronics

Hi all,

I remember reading a while ago that people were having issues with windshield tint applications ruining electronics due to a channel that water was draining into. Was this ever corrected in later builds, or is there somewhere I should avoid cleaning when washing interior glass (to avoid this channel entirely)? My glass towel is damp and never dripping, but in the interest of being overly cautious I thought it best to ask. Sorry for the silly question, never thought I’d have to think twice about cleaning a windshield....

Just put down towel on the dash. I think it's a stupid design issue they didn't think about, but I'm also not sure how much of a problem it really is.
