This post is made to provide information about clear bra coverage options for metro-Atlanta and southeastern Tesla owners. I want to take a moment to explain how these different coverage options differ with the hopes that it helps someone make an informed decision as to what coverage they feel like would work best for their new Tesla.
The images included are for a Model S but the coverage would be very similar for a Model X.
Front kit clear bra protection for a Tesla:
This installation is similar to what Tesla originally offered owners and later ceased offering. It protects just the leading edge of the hood and front fenders, the full bumper, headlights, fog lights, side mirrors, rear trunk access strip and door handles. Front kit coverage would be a minimalistic approach to protection by protecting the front end but still leaves the damage-prone upper portion of the hood and fenders exposed.
For most folks, this coverage does not quite hit the mark as the line across the hood and fenders is unsightly and does not sufficiently protect the hood and fenders.
Full full end clear bra protection for a Tesla:
For many people, the full front end clear bra wrap is seen as a true minimum for good protection. Upgrading the coverage to include the full hood and full front fenders is going to offer the full front of the car’s lowers jamb up protection while also not showing off any lines across the hood or fenders.
Track package clear bra wrap for a Tesla:
This is by far our most popular clear bra wrap package. The track package adds the A-pillars, leading edge of the roof, rocker panels, lower portions of the doors and strips behind the rear wheels to the full front end clear bra wrap. The track package also gets an incredibly thick, 20 mil clear film layered over the clear bra in the most exposed areas around the wheel arches. This combines to give our clients a 28 mil thick film protection. Because these 20 mil thick film strips are layered over the clear bra, they can be easily removed and replaced when they get worn out. The track package not only protects your car from rocks thrown from cars in front of you but it also protects the lower sides against your own Tesla’s tires cannibalizing the paint.
Short of a full body clear bra wrap, the track package offers the best wear and tear protection in a single package.
Full body clear bra wrap for a Tesla:
A full body clear bra wrap for your Tesla is the ultimate in protection. Wrapping your Tesla Model S or Model X with clear bra gives you the peace of mind of knowing most types of vandalism and non-major impacts will guard your original factory paint all over the body of the car. No more concern about creating swirl marks in the paint, bug mark or bird dropping damage, acid rain etching or other chemical damage (short of a catastrophic accident that would certainly eat through clear bra urethane).
A full wrap is not inexpensive but for those that want the best, it’s a full body clear bra wrap or nothing.
