I got my AWD Model 3 at the end of last August. After delivery I noticed some paint defects and they had their approved body shop respray the hood, the front bumper and a couple panels. This all happened last October. Fast forward to now about 6 months later and I've got 2 big spots of clear coat peeling on my hood and bumper.
My question is:
1. Is this normal for a leading edge to have the clear coat peel like the pictures show in less than 6 months? I know rocks chips are real, but is this a defect of their respray or am I just really unlucky with some big ass rocks?
2. If this is normal and I don't really have any recourse, is this something I can make better with some wet sanding and a lot of time with a DA or do I have to shell out for another respray?
