Clicking while stopped and turning steering wheel

Happens at low speed under 5 mph forward and reverse as well when turning wheel to extremes. Have a SC appointment tomorrow but they want $300 to look at it — seems a bit high. Any ideas?

Had my half shafts replaced 20k miles ago. They did the control arm / ball joint grease recall 5k ago.

You are placing extreme and unnecessary load on your power steering components turning the wheel with the car stopped, especially at the end of travel. I'm not sure what it is, but it sounds like you have some load in your suspension that is releasing itself when you are at the extremes.

My 2016 P90D model X with 50k miles has this clicking sound while stopped and turning the steering wheel all the way to the extremes. Is this normal? Feel like it has always done this but it’s pretty loud now
