I'm trying to locate a powder coat powder that matches the OEM black finish on the Model 3 Performance wheel. I ordered every black or dark gray sample from prismaticpowders.com and compared them to a car at my local gallery. The two that were closest are Evo Gray (5969) and Graphite Black I (4188).
None were an exact match, especially with the outdoor lighting. Evo is a close match in direct sunlight but is a little too gold and or greenish. Graphite is a closer match in the shadows but it's very black and has a bit more metallic fleck.
I'm curious if anyone else has put some work into matching colors from other powder providers OR if details about the finish have been discovered from Tesla?
