Well spotted. Here is how I interpret it.
1. Pre-reveal US orders will all be complete before mid 2018.
2. New US orders will be delivered after mid 2018
3. Some of pre-reveal non-US orders will be completed by mid 2018
I wonder if that is based off if you pre-order it at this moment. My reservation page on "My Tesla" Still says "Deliveries will begin in late 2017".
This reminds me... I need to BLOCK 'CNBC' in my web browser...The article is slowly updating and it really isn't any new information and is talking about new reservations and the wording change some have seen on their reservation pages.
Clearly click bait, sorry for the false alarm.
And thus, I 'cut bait'... Goodbye.Hehe. The way I see it, any new reservation now is mostly likely going to be a delivery in 2019.
Kudos to Fred Lambert at electrek.co for clarifying at Tesla Model 3 is not delayed, CNBC misreports and sends Tesla (TSLA) stock crashing
Directed at the article ?LOL...idiots.
That seems quite reasonable to me; if anything, optimistic. If you didn't order your Model 3 yet, you won't get it until mid-2018, Tesla says
More interesting to me is the recovery in a matter of minutes.Original article caused a flash crash in Tesla stock price
Tesla Model 3 is not delayed, CNBC misreports and sends Tesla (TSLA) stock crashing
That's not how the article originally read. The article originally read that Model 3 production was delayed until Mid-2018.Directed at the article ?
I looked a few minutes ago and the headline says
That seems quite reasonable to me; if anything, optimistic.
Reminds me of that recent article where the author (in)famously stated that upcoming Tesla/SolarCity solar roof product will be used on the roof of Tesla cars to recharge the batteries. Readers were quick to point out the error and the article was subsequently revised. That's not how the article originally read. The article originally read that Model 3 production was delayed until Mid-2018.
More like lazy reporting and rush to be the first to get the story out. If they hadn't corrected their story later, then I'd agree with you that it was an attempt to manipulate the stock price.I guess someone just tested how vulnerable the stocks are. And maybe to see the level of expectations..
haha I don't think so, Tesla is still saying 373,000 reservations publically although we know this number has dropped due to everyday occurrences in people's lives.
