Excellent, excellent progress, along with good news on renewables too.

The Province of Ontario in Canada finished its coal phase out in 2014 and we have not had a smog day since.

He did not explicitly address the scientific legitimacy of human-caused climate change, but said, “We’re going to deal with real environmental challenges, not the phony ones we’ve been hearing about.”

Mr. Trump said that in his first 100 days in office, he would “rescind” Environmental Protection Agency regulations established under Mr. Obama to curb planet-warming emissions from coal-fired power plants.

“Regulations that shut down hundreds of coal-fired power plants and block the construction of new ones — how stupid is that?” Mr. Trump said.
    "

This is at least one topic where he actually appears to have an opinion. Well, other than women and minorities.

Indeed he does, if you read on....
"Other elements of Mr. Trump’s energy proposals appear less viable. As coal mining jobs have declined, Mr. Trump has vowed to fully restore their numbers.

“We’re going to bring back the coal industry, save the coal industry,” he said. “I love those people.”

"Only a week after South Australia closed its last coal-fired generator, renewables are stepping up to act as the state’s power baseload."

Renewables Become New Baseload For Power In South Australia

This article shows a nice graph of how the power supply is split among wind, solar, and gas and others.

That's just what's so funny about it. He's got 1237, and sounds like he's goin' Right.

    To OP:
If Oregon would give up its rivers, its waterways, its hydro, or its non-HVAC intensive climate, I'm sure a few states could be able to come back with a good coal remediation plan.
