My insurance is coming up for renewal in a few weeks and the price just keeps going up...now $940 for 6 months with Progressive when just one year ago it was $669! A 41% increase. No, I cannot get Tesla insurance in South Carolina and yes, I've checked many other insurance company's rates and Progressive is STILL the lowest unfortunately.
I have great coverage at $300k liability/underinsured/uninsured, $100 deductible comprehensive, and $500 deductible collision. I am now considering upping my collision deductible to $1,000 as it'll save $250 per year on premiums. I guess you're basically betting on yourself to not get in an accident that is your fault at that point.
Curious what everyone else is doing? Tesla's are expensive to repair I know...
