Who better to ask than me!
My paint was perfectly good but it is standard white, and that's the free base color now which every other Tesla has. Too generic and ordinary. I wanted a bright "exotic" color. Something that pops and you can't help but notice, because why blend in like everyone else when you can stand out? Wraps are great and I'll do another wrap once I get bored of my current one. They come off easily with heat and no residue leftover. Basically paint protection.
That's about the price I paid for my wrap 5 months ago in LA and I'd do it again, but maybe not at the same place.
The place that did my wrap did not remove any panels. They simply wrapped and tucked. There are several areas all around my car that are slightly peeling and coming off, particularly along the edges. I did not want to pay $4k-5k that other shops that quoted me. They remove panels and whatnot but double the price wasn't worth it. The owner also offered to fix the sub par areas but I haven't bothered to take it back yet. You'd have to inspect my car to see the areas, otherwise seeing it on the road or walking by in a parking lot you won't notice. They did a decent job but it could have been done better. Have a 2 year warranty so might get it corrected towards the end.
That's a decent price though so I say go for it
