Color when water is on windshield

Weird observation of water on windshield and glass roof.

At different viewing angles, both outside and inside car, I catch a hint of redish purple color.

The color closely matches transmission fluid. I haven't attempted to capture it digitally and can only assume it is caused by the light refraction and the UV shielding.

When a bit of snow and ice are present, the outside view often causes a double-take, thinking what is that fluid in the water droplets.

Anyone else notice this same phenomenon ?

Then again...I just might be going crazy

Yep, with a mist on the car all of the Tesla cars have a redish hue to the factory tinted glass.

It's the UV coating - much more noticeable on the X because of the expanse of glass.

I got a good picture of the phenomenon on a Model X over the weekend.

Happens on the 3 too. Haven’t seen in on my 2014, wonder if its because of a different coating on the glass.

I noticed it stood out on the Model 3 as well! Looks cool in my opinIon!
