This will be so great when staying in the Vail Valley. I got the Chademo adapter just for when we stay a couple weeks in upnethere every January. After a couple grocery runs and vampire drain over two weeks we need to charge to get over vail pass to silverthorne To charge.

Pueblo has been added to Tesla's map. This was expected based on discussions last year and is expected for Q3 2022: Supercharger - Pueblo, CO
Lamar has been known for a couple months and is expected Q2 2022: Supercharger - Lamar, CO
Westminster should be coming in Q2 2022: Supercharger - Westminster, CO
The second Lakewood location has been removed from the map.

The status of the Superior Supercharger hasn't been updated on Tesla's map yet.

I agree that this will help with travel to Vail - It seems that the demographics of the town would merit a local Supercharger. ;)

I'm disappointed that the new map of future supercharger locations doesn't have more in Colorado. The holes are big. And the Glenwood Springs location is near capacity.
That was my take on the map as well. It does seem as if the focus is on increasing capacity in areas of crowds and lines, as opposed to filling in gaps in the network.

Given the rapid increase in the number of Teslas on the road, I can understand the concern with increased capacity.

Agreed. Pueblo will be a welcome addition, but it's hard not to see something planned for the big hole in south-central and southwest Colorado. Alamosa was for many years "coming soon." And US160 west of there also needs some help - at least something in Pagosa Springs, Durango, or Cortez would be very helpful. Surprised to see Lamar apparently prioritized ahead of these sites, but at least it fills (or starts to fill) a big gap...

As for Glenwood, perhaps they can expand the existing site soon - Tesla doesn't indicate planned expansions on the online map...

I bet that the holdup to more superchargers in rural Colorado is getting acceptance of local business owners. Tesla wants to work with the local business owners to place the superchargers in a good spot, but these business owners are often ultra conservatives who think EVs represent socialism.....

I'm sure that's a factor for some business owners, but Tesla has certainly succeeded in installing a lot of superchargers elsewhere in rural, conservative areas. Heck, they just installed one in Lamar CO of all places!

So I'm inclined to think the remaining lack of rural superchargers, especially in SW CO, is more an issue of Tesla's priorities...

I stopped at the Pueblo charger recently. Didn't realize that's a brand new location. What a great install. It's right downtown, within close distance of a ton of restaurants and coffee shops, or a nice walk along the river.

Very welcome addition, since Trinidad, Monument, and Poncha Springs don't have much in terms of nice lunch breaks and Colorado Springs is an older V2.

BTW, Durango was recently at #4 in the current round of supercharger voting, but a surge in votes from competing sites has relegated it to #7 in North America currently. In past rounds, Tesla has taken the top 5 sites in N.A. and pledged to build them (take that for what it's worth). Anyway, if you haven't put your vote in yet, now would be a good time. Presumably voting for this round closes at the end of the month...

In case anybody hadn't seen this yet, here is the site list for NEVI funded stations in Colorado. I think this was published some time in summer 2023, but I'm not 100% sure. There may be a more recent list than this one.

I still don't understand why there isn't a location in/near Winter Park. Sure, if you're through tripping Idaho Springs and Kremmling are great, but if you're going to Winter Park/Fraser as your destination not having any DCFC options in the whole valley is a real PITA.
