Colors and Cameras

Yesterday I was in reverse waiting for cars to move, and I was looking at a red car. The central camera was showing red, the side camera were showing a way different red, it seems like they have a Sepia filter. Am I totally going crazy or anyone else can verify this for me on their Tesla. Maybe I need to schedule service for that too....thanks!

Many people have reported the same but the cameras on Teslas are designed to perform object identification, not to reproduce colors the way humans see them. What you’re seeing is normal. I see the same on our Model 3 and Model Y.

Same with my MY LR. For us humans it would be helpful if the colors were closer, but I agree, as long as it doesn’t inhibit the object recognition it’s of no real consequence.

My MYP video definitely has a sepia cast to it, I guess it's intentional!
