Getting stir crazy so I decided to go for a ride in my 3 week old Model 3 LR AWD. It's been asleep for the past 3 days (87% charge) and the app just spun it's wheels trying to wake it. The app permitted all functions except "Climate Control." I went over to the car and was able to unlock the door, but the screen remained blank...no reaction when I depressed the brake pedal...same no reaction when I tried to reboot. After 10 minutes of opening doors and pressing buttons. I plugged in my home charger and "it's Alive."

Same thing happened yesterday to my 1 year old Model 3 SR on 2020.12.1. Nothing worked except locking and unlocking the car. After 10 minutes of trying everything without any responses, the screen finally booted up by itself and the car was “alive” again!

That deep sleep is a welcomed function, when you eventually leave it at the airport for 2 weeks.

This exact thing happened to me yesterday in my 1 month old M3P. Curious to see if it reoccurs.

Had the car for almost 2 months now and the problem hasn't reoccurred. It may have a hard time waking from sleep, but definitely has improved lately. Possibly a learning curve? Break in period? Software updates?

It's not a "learning curve" or "break in period" or anything like that. Ours does this quite often (at least a couple times per month). I just start driving with a black screen, eventually it shows the Tesla logo and boots up.
