Comfort suspension on MY RWD

The original MY that I test drove in May 2021 rode hard, at the time I had an M3 SR+ and felt that the MY had a harder ride. It's from this batch of cars that most of the AU journos were commenting on the hard ride, and at that stage Berlin was already shipping MY with the "comfort" suspension.
From the MY RWD that started getting delivered to customers in Aug/Sep 2021, these cars already had the comfort suspension from the get go. I took delivery in September and my MY rode better than the M3 SR+.

Like others have noted, "comfort" is subjective. For me the ride now is tolerable however I wouldn't complain if it had a touch more give.

I assume you meant 2022. If that is the case that’s good. How did you know that they all come with the new suspension now?
I test drove one a month or so ago and it was ok, no worse than my US built M3 SR+, although I didn’t really drive over any bad road.

You are correct, I meant 2022. Unfortunately I can no longer edit my original post to correct it.

My assessment is based on a data set of 2, the May 2022 demo that they had in the Tesla showrooms, and the September 2022 car that I took delivery of and still have. To counter this statistically unreliable small sample, I live 5 minutes from the Tesla showroom at Chatswood, so I was very familiar with the roads (I went looking for the worst ones) for the test drive.

I have a 12 Jan 2023. built Model Y RWD, I just went out and looked at the part numbers on the dampers

Front Right : 1188379-00-B
Rear : 1188464-00-B

Relevant link in parts catalog Parts Catalog

There appears to be 4 different versions for the front for 2 for RWD and LR?, 2 for performance.
For the rear there are 2 versions for performance and 1 each for LR(dual motor) and RWD

Whilst I find the suspension of my M3 SR a bit too harsh, and noisy over bumps, it’s not a dealbreaker as I still went ahead and order an Y. I am guessing the newer more compliant suspension still thumps over bigger bumps?
It's softer than the SR+ (as long as you didn't order the optional wheels) but it'll still spill your coffee in the cup holder. ;)

Comfort coil-overs by Mountain Pass, perfect, they have for 3/Y, oh and you do not have to lower it, just adjust the "comfort" with compression and dampening...you can even raise it if you so wish:

Looking at the parts docs for RWD there's 2 versions for the fronts but only one version of the rear - your part number looks to the be "latest" version of the part numbers
Front Left (old): 1188364-00-C
Front Left (new): 1188365-00-B
Front Right (old): 1188369-00-C
Front Right (new): 1188379-00-B
Rear: 1188464-00-B

In contrast with the Performance model - which has 2 versions of the FL, FR and rear shocks
Front Left (old):1188371-00-E
Front Left (new):1188371-00-F
Front Right (old):1188376-00-E
Front Right (new):1188376-00-F
Rear (old):1188465-00-E
Rear (new):1188465-00-F

So no new rear shocks for RWD?
