A new charging option is coming for Tesla and all other EV users. In the parking lot of Walmart Pearl City, just below their gas station (go figure) are 8 newly installed Electrify America charging stations. There are 4 charging towers each with 2 charging cords. But be aware that there's only 4 parking stalls for the 8 connectors. Some engineer messed up the design! Nothing posted as to when they will be available for the public to start using these chargers.

IMHO this is the perfect place to install EV chargers in a parking lot: away from the entrance so there's little/no incentive for ICE vehicles and non-charging EV drivers to take the stalls away from those of us who need/intend to charge their vehicles.

This is great news for Oahu. There should probably be 5 or 6 sites like this on Oahu and at least a few on the other 3 major islands. Electrify America always designs their sites like this. There are two cables per charger when only one can be used at a time. Most have two CCS connectors and most sites have only one CHAdeMO connector per site. EA is now installing sites with no CHAdeMO at all. The reason for two CCS cables is so that the cables can reach the various charge port locations on different vehicles and also to provide redundancy since the plug handles can get damaged.
I see a couple more new DCFC sites coming soon on the island that have two chargers per site. This should be the absolute minimum. The single charger HECO sites are not suitable for the coming or even existing EV population.
