Ment open pilotConfused by "comma ai" -- voice to text error, I assume?
Yeah i have a 2013 p85Do you have a pre-HW1 Tesla? If not, why openpilot and not Tesla’s AP1?
Everything that i have in my p85 outweighs just havin ap1Getting a shop to install it will cost you more than trading up to an AP1-equipped car
Did you ever find a solution? Can anyone recommend me a good shop in east cost that can add all the things needed for ap1 to work using comma ai and all the other things?
Yes i did! Join the open pilot discord and go to the tesla tab, im in there and me or someone else can explain everything in there. Way easier than opening your car upDid you ever find a solution?
Did you get the comma 3? How do you like it? Getting ready to purchase the hardware from Tinkla.Yes i did! Join the open pilot discord and go to the tesla tab, im in there and me or someone else can explain everything in there. Way easier than opening your car up
I have the comma 2 , but 3 is generally the same. And i love it. It is really 10000000x better than teslas ap. I use it alot and it has not failed me yetDid you get the comma 3? How do you like it? Getting ready to purchase the hardware from Tinkla.
Was the install procedure difficult? Plug and Play?I have the comma 2 , but 3 is generally the same. And i love it. It is really 10000000x better than teslas ap. I use it alot and it has not failed me y
Yup as long as you have the tinkla obd port and the wire that tinkla recommends, then you just have to follow instructions on adding the tinkla branch into the comma and then mounting it to your windshield. This can be the hardest part which is a good thing hahaWas the install procedure difficult? Plug and Play?
Did you install the Pedal interceptor?Yup as long as you have the tinkla obd port and the wire that tinkla recommends, then you just have to follow instructions on adding the tinkla branch into the comma and then mounting it to your windshield. Not yet, just the comma, tbh i dont need anything else, I usually control the pedal and let the comma do the steering. On highways i put the adaptive cruis control so that comma will control speed and slow down when theres cars in front, but if its traffic slower than 25mph, then i just use the peddle and let comma steerDid you install the Pedal interceptor?
So I am assuming that there is a toggle switch where you can choose steer only or steer+pedalNot yet, just the comma, tbh i dont need anything else, I usually control the pedal and let the comma do the steering. You can activate the comma without having cruise control on. This allows you to control pedal while it drives. So I am assuming that there is a toggle switch where you can choose steer only or steer+pedal
From what I have seen on the discord yes the pedal will help a lot.@Ramp1999, I also just started using the Comma 3 and Tinkla adapter on my 2013 MS. B/c the adaptive cruise control (ACC) is jerky, I'm considering buying the Pedal Interceptor - Tinkla: Tinkering with Tesla to hopefully make ACC less jerky. Has anyone tried the Pedal Interceptor and did it smooth out ACC?
