Complete the steps below to take delivery - Will not completing delay VIN assignment/delivery?

I placed my order on 6/28/18 at 12:15 AM PST for a Model 3 Dual Motor and have a delivery estimate between Sep '18 and Nov '18. I have completed all of the steps under "Complete the steps below to take delivery" except for "Payment Method" because I have not decided whether I wish to pay with "Cash" or "Finance through my own bank or credit union" so I have not selected that yet. Since my delivery won't happen until Sep-Nov, I have a minimum of 2-3 months to decide.

QUESTIONS:
1. If I make a selection for "Payment Method", would I be allowed to change my selection online without contacting a delivery specialist to do it manually?
2. Will not selecting "Payment Method" until I get closer to my estimated delivery timeframe prevent or delay my VIN assignment/delivery date?

Even if you don't complete all the steps, the VIN process moves forward. Its purpose is to make the delivery process smoother by preventing you from rushing to get your documentation together.

I don't believe you can change your Payment Method online after you make the initial selection (and will need to call in. Similarly to above, not selecting a payment method should not delay the process (though it is usually better for Tesla to know what to include for the Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement earlier).
 
This is what I see after selecting financing... So I think you can change without a problem...
