Concerns with this tire?

Was working through some fender rubbing issues and saw some damage to one tire. It is on the outside of the tread, not on the sidewall. Would you be concerned about this?

For daily driving, I'd rock it. Definately not for autox or track use. If it was showing cords or lose to it, I'd replace it. That's also assuming your addressing the cause.

I think you're right. The intent would be to use this on the track so it probably isn't worth the risk.

None of us are likely tire experts, but that looks like it was pretty gently rubbed off, which I assume it was if it didn't tear up your car.
Given that it's not structural damage to the tire, and just the simple removal of some rubber, I don't see how this isn't like driving on the tire.
I mean, you can literally order "tire shaving" for race tires.
I'd send it, even on a track.

Remove or use a 5mm spacer and you are good to go!

I wouldn't hesitate to autocross on that, but you could maybe flip the tire on the wheels, so the damaged part isn't really doing anything.

If you've got too much camber and do a lot of street miles, the inside will wear. If you don't have enough camber and AutoX, the outside will wear.
