Anyone have experience with load splitting, a Tesla, and a Tesla Wall Connector? Long story short, the building I live in is installing a load splitting system with 30A to each port. The way this works, is once the 11th car plugs in, the 1st car gets cut off, and then the enabled again 30 minutes later, just after the second car gets shut-off for 30 minutes, and so on and so on. This will only happen when 11 (or more) cars are drawing power. The default install will include Flo chargers, but we're being given the opportunity to buy Tesla Wall Connectors instead. Seems like a unique setup, so curious if anyone has done this before, and if it matters which wall connectors I use? Thoughts?
If they are providing a J1772 charger, I don't see why you would pay extra for a Wall Connector except to avoid using the adapter. I hope you report back on this. I'm curious to see how well the rotating load thing works.
I'm not paying extra, there's just a group by for the Flo charger I can take part of. But yeah, I'm curious too! I don't actually know if we'll have enough cars to hit the breaker but we'll see. I did get a reply back from the organizer, and it sounds like it should work fine with any wall connector. Fascinating!
